The Ask
JLL came to Digitas for strategy, IA, UX and to recreate their web branding. Prior to the project JLL recently redesigned their brand, and our task was to take their brand and create a new enhanced visual identity. We were tasked to redesign their global website.

The Challenges
• Branding was made for print campaigns
• Understanding how content would work in a component built architecture
• Understanding different regions content and how that system would work
• How would different languages work with our text styles
• Building a predictive/suggestive search feature

• Lead the visual design and design system for JLL
• Managed two freelance designers

• Delivered visual designs via Zeplin and worked closely with dev team

Telling a Rich Story
The home page had to do a lot of heavy lifting to speak to a very diverse audience. Presenting simple wayfinding iconography allowed both new and returning visitors to find exactly what they were looking for. The rest of the page was geared toward specific lead generation content and industry insights.
Animation to Guide the User
For the more curious visitor, we created an interactive-rich full-screen menu experience to help educate and guide users through JLL’s core service offering.
Core Service Offering
For each of JLL’s core service offerings, there needed to be a balance between presenting content that their users have become accustomed to, but also to tell a visually-rich story for those that aren’t as familiar with the brand.
Robust Search Experience
Search is an important part of JLL’s business. It accounted for a vast majority of their traffic, so we leveraged a custom integration that would allow JLL to serve up featured results for given search terms based off of site traffic or promotion purposes.
